Individual Refunds
1. Students should be encouraged to arrange for their own Cancellation Insurance. Large‐sized insurance companies do not offer Group Cancellation Policies since Covid‐19. It is still possible for INDIVIDUALS to find Cancellation Insurance, but not GROUPS. Students should seek Cancellation Insurance that includes coverage if a governing authority like the School Administration or School Board decides to cancel the entire trip. Individual Cancellation Policies should also include coverage if a student has to drop‐out of the trip due to being diagnosed with Covid‐19 or exhibiting Covid‐19 symptoms.
2. Covid‐19 is no longer considered as Force Majeure. Refunds are no longer offered by most providers in the travel and tourism business – they simply can no longer afford it. Students participating in school trips need to understand that a cancellation for any reason, but most notably Covid‐19......does not imply a full refund will be granted. This includes if the School Board decides to stop all overnight trips due to concerns over Covid‐19 or other.
